16. ASSERTIVE COMMUNICATION

Being assertive is being confident, self-assured and positive. Assertive people get their opinions heard and gain the respect of others. Communicating in an assertive manner is not being pushy or aggressive. If your success depends on working well with others, then this seminar is a must. You will gain skills that will enable you to successfully handle criticism, conflict, manipulation, and angry and difficult people. You will learn how to motivate others and how to improve all of your interpersonal relationships. Your individual style of communicating will be determined by special tests and then a specific plan to improve your assertiveness will be formulated. With these positive changes, your opinion will always be heard and respected and you will see improved levels of interpersonal communication.
